Savage is searching for a qualified Maintenance Manager to support a fleet of fuel hauling trucks in the SW United States. Ideal candidates have a desire to work from home with a large amount of travel to locations in California, Utah, New Mexico and Texas. 



The Maintenance Manager  assists with the administration of the Fuel & Mechanical Solutions (FMS) Asset Management Program. The Manager  is responsible for creating and guiding the aspects of the Asset Management Program to include: Teaching and training operations team members the importance of adhering to maintenance practices and instilling a sense of stewardship in them. Ensuring that operations have the appropriate assets in place to perform services. Seeing that operations have processes in place and resources available to maintain and repair their  assets in a cost-effective manner that meets the goals of the Asset Management and Maintenance team. Being a resource and support to each of the operations in implementing best practices inlcuding:


  • Equipment Asset Management
  • Equipment Maintenance & Repair Management
  • Retention and Disposition of Assets


Other Requirments

  • Travel approx. 50-70% of the time
  • Must be able to consistently climb on and off of elevated surfaces, bending, stooping, lifting 50 pounds or more and able to work in any type of weather conditions
  • This individual must be willing to work nights, weekends and holidays as the business and its equipment needs may require




  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • College degree preferred, but not required
  • 5 years of transportation maintenance experience
  • 2 years’ experience in leading, teaching or training a team
  • Experience with CMMS or another Computerized Maintenance System is preferred, but not required
