Our Training Assistant is responsible for clerical and administrative duties related to the delivery of training and organizational development programs. Schedules training events, coordinates with instructors, obtains and distributes required instructional materials, and communicates schedules and details.



  • Ensure effective logistics for all instructor led courses at the Service Support Center (SSC) as well as courses delivered remotely by Technical Training Managers and Organizational Development (OD) Specialists
  • Create the right environment in classroom training events to maximize learning and highlight the Savage culture and monitor the overall effectiveness of each training event
  • Be the first point of contact for inquiries about SavageU Online and other Savage related training and organizational development programs
  • Partner with trainers and participants to provide logistical and technical support before, during and after classroom and online learning courses
  • Provide support on filing, organizing and archiving training materials and resources
  • Connect with training participants to ensure their experience is positive and meaningful
  • Track, update and audit training records (including completion dates) to ensure we are accurate and consistent in our training records
  • Process enrollments and answers routine inquiries regarding courses, schedules, and locations
  • Seek out opportunities to help identify and create improvements in the overall training experience



  • Exceptional attention to detail, excellent interpersonal and communication skills with strong follow-through required
  • Experience with Adobe InDesign and other tools preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to interact effectively with technical systems (e.g., Learning Management System)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint & Outlook
  • Experience with or willingness to learn how to use WebEx, e-learning platforms and the Learning Management System
  • Strong team player with a high degree of personal initiative and exceptional customer service skills
  • Ability to interact with a variety of different personalities and quickly form effective relationships
  • Strong problem solving and decision making skills
  • Strong interest in training, human resources, organizational development or communications
  • Ability to learn quickly and demonstrate a high degree of energy and, positivity


  • High School diploma required, Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 0-2 years related experience in training, HR or customer service environment preferred


Physical Requirements

  • This role is located in an office environment where sitting and/or standing is required for several hours at a time
