Savage is seeking a Corporate Development Analyst to assist the corporate development team at Savage in all aspects of analyzing and executing business acquisitions, joint ventures and other strategic projects.  The position also supports the Company’s corporate strategy process.  The successful candidate will work on multiple projects and transactions at any given time, producing analytical work for M&A opportunities and supporting the transaction process from origination to execution.  This position reports to the Vice President of Corporate Development.


The Analyst position may often serve as a project manager. Specific responsibilities include: analyzing data and presenting conclusions, conducting industry and market research, analyzing financial and operational performance, building financial models depicting historical and future results, writing investment memoranda describing a company/project strategy and growth prospects and, ultimately, helping us achieve our financial and strategic objectives.


The Analyst position requires a significant time commitment and is very research, analytic and computer-intensive.  The ability to work independently and meet deadlines with limited supervision is essential. 




  • Strong quantitative, financial modeling, analytical, communication, writing and interpersonal skills
  • Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong skill-set using Microsoft Office, especially Excel & PowerPoint
  • Discreet; able to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Ability to operate under pressure
  • Strong work ethic and impeccable integrity
  • Has “Ownership” Spirit
  • Will commit such time as is necessary to effectively fulfill his or her responsibilities, which will require 50 to 55 hours per week or more, depending on work load


  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or business-related field (recent college graduate or 1-3 years of work experience in a financial related field preferred)
  • 3.5 minimum GPA
  • Must have a passion for analyzing businesses and investment opportunities
