    Are you looking for an opportunity to grow in your railroad career?  Savage is looking for Team Member who will lead a specialized team in planning, organizing and managing  the day to day operations at our Henderson, Colorado operation.   This team will ensure trans-loading dry and liquid bulk products is comleted in an environmentally friendly and efficient manner for our customer.

    • Hands-on manager - operating trans-loading and mobile equipment
    • Trans-load various dry and liquid materials (including hazmat and food grade)
    • Assist with maintenance, clean-up, and other duties as assigned
    • Professional interaction and collaboration with other Savage Team Members and customers
    • Ability to work overtime when needed
    • Understand and manage budgets, projections, dailies, & variances
    • Problem Solving and Decision Making
    • Safety and Environmental Compliance
    • Maintenance Planning and Completion
    • Professionalism and Cleanliness
    • Participate in hazardous material handling and safety training programs, some travel may be required


    • Proficient in Microsoft office 
    • Ability to multitask
    • Ability to plan, control and organize operation to meet customers needs


    • Minimum of 2 years of college education preferred
    • Equipment operation experience
    • Experience with leading a diverse group of people

    Physical Requirements

    • Commitment to working safely at all times
    • Ability to be exposed to the outdoor elements
    • Must be physically able to do the following:
      • Climb on and off rail-cars and locomotives safely
      • Operate rail-car hand brake
      • Operate rail switches
      • Walk long distances
      • Consistently bend, stoop kneel and climb on elevated surfaces
      • Work, walk, and stand on uneven ballast surfaces for long periods of time
      • Lift up to 75 lbs consistently throughout the course of a shift
      • Operate basic hand tools
      • Wear required PPE
