  • Overview

    Savage is seeking a Marketing Communications Specialist to assist with promoting our services and supporting our sales and business development teams. You will work on multiple projects at any given time, analyzing marketing and promotional needs and designing and implementing marketing communications strategies that support organizational objectives. This position will work across all parts of Savage’s business and will have high visibility within the organization.



    • Drafts marketing communications, including promotional publications, presentations, advertisements, brochures and website content
    • Reviews and edits messages to ensure they are clear, thorough, on-brand, and preserve the company’s reputation
    • Supports marketing campaigns to help increase brand awareness and generate leads in target markets
    • Suggests ways of tailoring messages and delivery channels based on the targeted audience
    • Collects data on the performance of specific communications or campaigns and identifies opportunities to improve
    • Assists in maintaining an editorial calendar for various communications and marketing deliverables
    • Assists in organizing print and digital assets and responding to internal and external requests for materials
    • Assists with social media engagement and monitoring, and online media coverage monitoring and distribution
    • Assists with project tracking and coordination with agency partners to ensure timely delivery on projects
    • Provides support in preparing for events, conferences and tradeshows
    • Assists with handling media inquiries and may serve as a backup media spokesperson as necessary
    • Assists with building and maintaining positive relationships with community, government and media stakeholders


    • Basic graphic design skills and experience using Adobe Creative Cloud software (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and video editing software is preferred
    • Ability to speak Spanish is preferred, not required
    • Strong research, communication, writing and interpersonal skills
    • Computer savvy and experienced using a variety of software applications, including MS Office
    • Ability to lead project teams, work independently, and operate under pressure
    • Committed to meeting deadlines with a strong sense of creativity 
    • Discreet; able to maintain strict confidentiality


    • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 2 to 4 years of experience

    Physical Requirements

    • Occasional travel may be required
    • This role is located in an corporate office setting where sitting and standing may be required for several hours a day
    • Must have the willingness and capability to perform the essential duties of the role
