  • Overview

    Coordinate crew changes in the safest, most cost effective manner. Crew vessels with properly licensed staff and complete payroll in the most efficient, cost effective way.


    • Crew vessels with properly licensed staff
    • Complete weekly payroll. Make changes accordingly as changes take place in the system
    • Coordinate / schedule transportation for boat personnel to get to and from the vessel (via crew-truck / flight / rental car / transportation service). Schedule travel arrangements for employees & communicate with all parties involved their way of crew changing, meeting locations, confirmation numbers, etc
    • Assist in typing crew change request letters for crew members or maintenance employees when needed
    • Set up lodging accommodations for employees who require lodging before / after crew change
    • Assist in recruiting and interviewing potential employees and scheduling pre-employment physicals for potential employees
    • Communicate any pay increases due (other than scheduled pay increases), any terminations or any job promotions / demotions to Crewing Manager
    • Manage random drug testing for vessels. Make sure all employees who are randomly selected are tested in a timely manner within the allotted time frame (quarterly)
    • Coordinate new hire orientations with safety department
    • Approve invoices within our accounting program for travel, rental cars, hotel accommodations, etc
    • Maintain vessel employee disciplinary log
    • Assist with monitoring & collecting updated licenses for marine employee (TWIC, MMD, DL, etc.)
    • Maintain expense reports monthly of all purchases made on company credit card and upload and code correctly into DOBI
    • On call after hours / weekends (Done on a 2 week rotation between the 2 personnel coordinators)


    • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
    • Valid Driver’s License
    • Must have computer knowledge, ability to multi-task and have good communication skills

    Physical Requirements  

    • Works primarily in an office environment with the occasional need for field work.
    • Must be able to sit for long periods of time
