  • Overview

    As a Shared Services Team Lead at Savage, you will dedicate a portion of your bandwidth to individual ownership of Business Process Clerk duties while engaging in leadership of their team and our department. Success in this role requires you to be flexible and tenacity in order to manage a combination of established daily tasks and dynamic leadership responsibilities. While you may have direct reports and fulfill some people administration at times, your primary responsibility is managing the work. You are the first line of support for your team in driving scalability through a focus on process improvement.


    Lead Responsibilities Include:


    • Engaged member of the Business Process Leadership Team, supporting all team members in the department
    • Process improvement opportunity identification and implementation
    • Integration of startups, centralized work, and acquisitions
    • New hire training and mentor-ship
    • Act as a resource for team members
    • Review quality of work and provide performance oversight
    • Manage workload distribution across yourself and other team members
    • Team with other Lead Business Process Clerks to actively support external team members
    • Responsibilities are not all inclusive and may change based on the need of the company
    • Input and validate daily financial and operational information


    Business Process Responsibilities Include:

    • Accounts Payable Processing
      • Initiate payments, execute purchases, code expense, manage vendors
    • Accounts Receivable Processing
      • Invoicing, aging management, code revenue, manage customers
    • Payroll Processing
      • Pay rate management; earnings input, calculation, and validation
    • Human Resource Processing
      • New hires, employee file management, terminations
    • Adhere to all Business Process Standard Operating Procedures
    • Assist in the development of efficient business processes
    • Monitor and reinforce accounting processes and internal controls
    • Interface with teams that are functionally and geographically diverse
    • Responsibilities are not all inclusive and may change based on the need of the company


    • Proficiency with proprietary systems (preferred)
    • Strong Computer Proficiency (Required)
      • Windows File Explorer (Files) – download, manipulate, organize, store, managing, etc.
      • Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, etc.)
        • Excel Requirements- ability to filter, sort and format
      • Web browsers
      • Ability to learn new software quickly
    • Attention to detail, accuracy, and organization
    • Ability to work within a team
    • Must be able to ask productive questions and work with people to solve problems
    • Time management skills (Ability to prioritize, be proactive, etc.)
    • Professional in appearance and demeanor at all times


    • Undergraduate degree (Preferred)
    • 5+ years professional work experience


     Physical Requirements

    • This role is located in an office-setting where sitting and/or standing for long periods of time are required
