    Savage Water Solutions, formerly Ames Water Solutions, is currently seeking a General Manager for our operation in Williston, ND.

    The General Manager will lead the Savage Water Solutions business, including direct responsibility for safety, customer relations, financial performance, etc.  The General Manager will be responsible for organizing and ensuring work is completed in a safe and efficient manner in balance with the company and Joint Venture partners.

    Responsibilities

    • Ensures the team provides outstanding service to our customer, safely and responsibly, and delivers on results
    • Create solutions for challenges facing the customer and our leader’s daily
    • Participate in the development of the Unit strategy
    • Engage directly in business development activities, including identifying and developing new business proposals
    • Identify and develop tomorrow’s leaders
    • Oversee implementation of and teach the Savage S7 System (quality program)
    • Provide training and leadership of the Savage S7 System (safety, quality, team member, maintenance)
    • Develop and execute a business plan (including budgeting, projecting, variance analysis. and cost management)
    • Ensure operations meets all safety and quality performance standards
    • Ensure all reporting deadlines (internal and external) are met
    • Ensure compliance of operations’ procedures and policies
    • Build relationships with team members, customers, and operational leaders
    • Attract and hire top performers to drive organic growth
    • Work with regional leadership to address concerns and issues with team members
    • Create, solicit, and implement operational improvements
    • Give and receive support to other operations as needed
    • Participate in team member professional growth activities such as hiring, coaching, disciplinary processes, and one-on-ones
    • Other duties as constituted

    Qualifications

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (both verbal and written)

    • Ability to develop new business and sell the capabilities of the operations and the company
    • Ability to focus in on problem areas and initiate steps to resolution
    • Ability to be creative and strategic in approaching issues
    • Excellent analytical, planning and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and carry critical projects to completion
    • Ability to read and understand financial statements
    • Ability to travel approximately 30%

    Education/Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree preferred
    • 3 years related work experience demonstrating leadership capabilities
    • Possess experience in some or all of the following areas:Leadership knowledge in water transfers, water heating, rig-up/rig-down, land owner relations, easements, and other water transfer related duties
    • Management experience with responsibility for developing and executing budgets
    • Customer and contractor contract negotiation and administration
    • Business development/commercial experience
    • Cultivating strong business partnerships with JV partners, customers, suppliers, and key contractors
    • Recruiting, developing, and leading a team
    • Identifying and implementing solutions to commercial, operating and financial problems
    • Willingness to become a Safety Specialist with the desire to become a Lead Safety Specialist
    • Current/valid driver license 

    Physical Requirements

     

    • Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions: extreme wind, rain, snow, cold, heat, etc.
    • Must be able to lift 50 lbs
    • Splits time between office and field environment. Must be able to sit and stand for long periods
