    The Site Leader is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations, including transloading product, implementing of the S7 system, and managing relationships with the customer. The Site Leader will report directly to the General Manager and assists in the necessary business processes as directed.

    Responsibilities

    • Unload materials consisting of a variety of Petroleum products
    • Learn, understand and carryout all operating procedures and policies
    • Learn to operate liquid transfer systems and equipment for railcar to tractor trailer transfers
    • Input information into the S7i system on a regular basis
    • Maintain daily contact with the customer at the local level to ensure that we have a complete understanding of the customer’s needs, schedule, special service requests, etc.
    • Participate in safety and/or operational meetings with the customer, as permitted by the customer
    • Track notable service deviations, customer complaints and service failures in a customer service log
    • Assist General Manager in maintaining the site’s customer profile and service requirements
    • Participate in root cause analysis of service failures, participating in the development of corrective actions, and implementing identified solutions
    • Perform work safely and productively
    • Forms such as inspection reports, safety observations, cleanliness reports, etc. should be tailored to meet the needs of the operation
    • Inspections, observations, training, etc. are performed at the required intervals
    • SHAPS is implemented and utilized as a part of the daily operations at the site
    • Work with the GM to ensure that the operation is compliant with all local, state and federal regulatory requirements as well as any customer specific safety rules and expectations, particularly PPE
    • Ensures that assets (equipment) is properly maintained and repaired
    • Developing a list and maintaining an inventory of operationally critical parts
    • Establishing and maintaining service records, maintenance files and a schedule of service intervals for all equipment assigned to the location
    • Ensuring that the established Asset Maintenance program is followed, tracking next service dates on the maintenance board

     

     

    Qualifications

    • Must maintain all required licenses and certifications in a current and valid status at all times;
    • Must be able to work independently and without direct supervision;
    • Must be reliable and dependable with a strong work ethic
    • Basic computer skills are necessary and intermediate skills desirable;

     

    Education/Experience

    • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
    • Must have previous supervisory or management experience

     

    Physical Requirements

    • Able to consistently bend, stoop, kneel and climb on and off elevated surfaces
    • Willing to receive general safety training
    • Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
    • Willing to work with liquid non-hazardous & dry bulk materials
    • Can carry at least fifty (50) pounds
    • May have to walk long distances
    • Must be willing to work a variety of shifts which at times, may include nights, weekends and holidays
    • Must be available to operations at any hour of the day and in case of an emergency, be able to respond to the work-site
