  • Overview

    Savage Services is currently seeking an Associate Project Manager to join our Equipment Solutions Department in Midvale, UT.  In this role, your main resonsibility will be to support Project Managers on projects and lead small projects under supervision. 

    Responsibilities

    • Research equipment specification options and costs
    • Research permitting, codes and legal requirements to ensure adequate equipment specifications
    • Assist in developing estimated capital and operational budgets
    • Work with internal and external resources to obtain accurate equipment specifications
    • Effectively communicate with technical and non-technical people
    • Provide technical support for operations
    • Provide logistics coordination and support for equipment movements
    • Responsibilities are not all-inclusive and may change based on the need of the company

    Qualifications

    • Project Management experience strong plus
    • Excellent oral, written and non-verbal communication skills
    • Proactive approach to problem solving
    • Customer-centered philosophy and approach with a sense of urgency for customer needs
    • Some travel required (typically less than 10%)
    • Must be drug free and able to pass a criminal background check
    • Experience with mobile/construction equipment, heavy industry and materials handling/transportation application strong plus
    • Familiarity with processes and operational practices of heavy construction/transportation equipment
    • Team player
    • Excellent customer service skills

    Education/Experience:

    • BA/BS or technical degree required
    • Excellent command of MS Office Suite (Word and Excel)
    • Operations experience and a good mechanical aptitude appreciated

    Physical Requirements:

    • Physically able to travel to industrial sites, climb stairs, ladders, and in/on/around industrial equipment and work outside in all seasons/weather in a safe and productive manner
    • Must wear proper personal protective equipment as environment dictates
