    Savage Services is currently seeking a Pipe Inspector Apprentice for our Pipe Yard Operation in Sayre, PA.

    The Pipe Inspector - Apprentice will assist a Level II on Inspecting Drill pipe and Casing.

    Responsibilities

    • Travel with the Inspection Crew to well locations where pipe is being delivered and work so the unloading process is handled safely and efficiently
    • Ensure the company men are provided defect free pipe by tallying (measuring), drifting (ensuring exact roundness) and cleaning (power washing) each piece of pipe.
    • Ensure all activities are accurately documented
    • Handle problems as they arise and initiate steps for resolution
    • Commit to safe work practices through situational awareness, following standard operating procedures, receiving constructive criticism and watching out for the health and wellness of others

    Qualifications

    • Stable work history, preferably in an industrial environment 
    • A sound understanding or aptitude to learn pipe transloading 
    • Mechanically Inclined 
    • Can work independently with minimal supervision 
    • Committed to working safely at all times including a commitment to the policies and procedures of the operation 
    • Positive attitude and a good team member
    • Must pass a pre-employment physical, reference checks, drug screen, motor-vehicle report and criminal background check 
    • Able to routinely lift 50-lbs 
    • Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions: extreme wind, snow, rain, heat and cold 
    • Comfortable be able to complete the physical aspects of the job including heights, crawling, walking long distances on uneven terrain, etc. 
    • Willing to reliably fulfill the designated work schedule 

     

    Education/Experience:

    • Stable work history, preferably in an oil and gas or industrial environment 
    • High School Education or equivalent 

     

    Physical Requirements:

    • Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions: extreme wind, rain, cold, etc. 
    • Able to routinely lift 50-lbs
