  • Overview

    The Transload Operator's primary responsibility is to safely and timely load and unload LPG Railcars within the customer's facility using fixed and mobile racks.


    • Daily inspections of railcars, and equipment to ensure safe conditions and operation
    • Railcar transfer preparation, including installing bolt-on/bolt-off fittings, making hose connection, and taking product samples
    • Ability to understand and follow operating procedures and policies, precisely
    • Ability to operate or learn to operate loading systems. Conduct numerous transfers from tank to railcar each day
    • Ability to work safely and productively 
    • Ability and interested in being cross trained on all functions at facility 
    • Strong work ethic 
    • Keep work area clean 
    • Is not afraid to ask questions 
    • Can accurately fill out all necessary paperwork 
    • Enforces safety policies and procedures with other employees and visitors 
    • Ability to perform general maintenance on equipment 
    • Interact and communicate with other team members


    • Must have a valid Driver's License
    • TWIC preferred but not required
    • Read, write, and understand English 
    • Basic math skills 
    • Computer skills (light data entry) 
    • Capable to learn how to operate Railcar/transloading equipment (e.g., Hoses, piping systems, transfer pumps, portable stair systems, small to medium sized equipment, etc.) 


    • High School Diploma or GED equivalent 

    Physical Requirements: 

    • Willing to receive hazardous material handling training & general safety training 
    • Ability to work outside in all weather conditions   
    • Can carry at least fifty (50) pounds 
    • Must be able to walk several miles per shift and pass a pre employment physical
