  • Overview

    Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring the reliable and cost effective operation of the equipment.

    • Ensure all employees follow proper safety rules, maintenance and operating procedures and facilitate corrective action
    • Write and revise maintenance procedures as needed
    • Supervise daily maintenance activities and work force performing maintenance
    • Assist in all training of employees in proper maintenance techniques and equipment operation
    • Lead preventative maintenance practices
    • Maintain the CMMS to ensure the system is properly utilized
    • Maintain and constantly update critical parts list
    • Manage spare parts inventory and ensure that necessary amounts of inventory is in stock to reduce any delays or failures
    • Perform daily inspections and maintenance audit
    • Communicate with the customer, contractors, and vendors in a professional and competent manner 
    • Responsibilities are not all inclusive and may change based on the need of the company
    • Understanding of PHMSA(Pipeline Hazardous Material Safety Administration) rules and regulations
    • Basic understanding of API(American Petroleum Institution) best practices and standards
    • Ability to become Operational Qualified in all pipeline maintenance and inspection tasks
    • Ability to manage multiple trades during outages and smaller projects
    • At a minimum, need to have a basic understanding of both electrical and mechanical equipment.
    • Responsibilities are not all inclusive and may change based on the need of the company


    • Minimum of 7 years’ experience working in industrial maintenance role
    • Minimum of 7 years in a supervisory role, preferable maintenance
    • Background in Preventative Maintenance and Mechanical Reliability
    • Knowledge and experience using a CMMS
    • Background in planning and scheduling maintenance
    • Extensive knowledge operating a variety of equipment and cranes is a plus
    • Experience with applying safety regulations and written procedures within a refinery or chemical plant is required
    • Ability to work outside in any condition
    • Good communication skills
    • Self-motivated and proactive


    • BA/BS degree preferred in engineering or project management

    Physical Requirements:  This position works primarily in an office /outdoor spends equal time in a shop and outdoor environment which contains coal dust and has weather extremes as a factor (hot & cold environments).

    • Work at heights as well as climbing stairs
    • Lift up to 50 pounds
    • Must wear proper personal protective equipment as environment and position dictate 
    • Must have the ability and willingness to perform the essential physical functions of the position.
