  • Overview

    Work under the general supervision of the Operations Supervisor, the will be able to provide mechanical support to the site operations. The incumbent will troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, or pneumatic problems with associated equipment. The Industrial Mechanics is also responsible for repairing malfunctioning equipment, such as motors, pumps, valves and other machines.


    • Conveyor experience – changing motors, gearboxes, bearings, rollers, alignments, training belt, inspections and welding
    • Repairing and performing routine maintenance on heavy equipment
    • Strong computer skills, capable of functioning within diagnostics programs, Word, Excel, Power Point, and work order systems
    • Maintaining logs and records of work performed, materials usage, equipment repairs, and inventory
    • Able to responding immediately to emergency situations
    • Must be familiar with the use of measuring tools and safe operation of hand tools including grinders, drills, and mechanical saws
    • Able to work at heights, noisy, dusty, outdoors, confined space
    • hydraulic experience
    • Must be able to work independently to troubleshoot machine problems and devise solutions
    • Identify and correct any problems found in machines, equipment or processes in order to facilitate production
    • Perform preventive maintenance and improvements or modifications to production equipment
    • Able to work a flexible schedule to accommodate vessel arrivals, and offloading


    • Minimum 2 years’ experience as an Industrial Mechanic with an industry background that encompassed conveyor systems
    • Excellent understanding of Safety in an industrial environment
    • Position requires flexibility in working rotating shifts and must be able to work weekends and Holidays
    • Strong mechanical, analytical and problem solving skills
    • Excellent written, computer, and oral communication
    • Able to work with a team, or on their own
